A love story (in just 100 words)

I was in college at Miami University and had recently ended a long relationship. I was ready to embrace being single, but fate had different plans. Picture a college party. Our neighbors brought friends. I noticed a guy sitting on a case of beer. I approached him and asked if he’d like to put his beer in our fridge. He replied, “That’s okay, I’ll drink it before it gets warm.” I was immediately drawn to his smiling eyes, his warmth and kindness and most importantly, his sense of humor. Three kids and 20 years later, he’s still making me laugh.
