About Jill Hartmann
mom, marketer and coach
Hi, I’m Jill, but most people call me Jillysue.
By day, I work full-time in marketing. By night and on weekends, this little corner of the internet is where I write for fun about family, travel, marketing, women’s voices, and the funny everyday things that keep life interesting.

I’ve spent more than 15 years in marketing and communications, leading teams and shaping strategy, and I still love the industry. Along the way, I earned a bachelor’s degree from Miami University, a mini-MBA, and professional coaching certification through CoachU, accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF). I’ve held senior leadership roles, including Vice President of Marketing and Communications, where I led a team of 28 across strategy, media relations, digital marketing, events, and executive visibility. I’ve also been proud to champion initiatives supporting women in leadership and advancing equity in the workplace.
I am a wife, mom of three, and proud dog mom to Moose (yes, the wiener dog race champion). Now that we are recent empty nesters, my husband and I are spending more time traveling, going to concerts, camping with friends, and planning big adventures. Ireland is next on the list.
I am also passionate about women’s rights, smart solutions for safer communities, and creating space for voices that need to be heard. Most of the time, you will find me sharing lighthearted posts about family life, travel, and everyday adventures, but eventually I hope to also write about the issues that matter deeply to me.
This blog is where it all comes together: life, laughter, family, creativity, career, and sometimes the courage to dig a little deeper.
